Garden renovation

Garden renovation work

We offer a renovation service for overgrown or neglected borders and gardens. Many clients find that plants can quickly grow out of control without regular pruning. Or often clients move to a new house with a garden that has been neglected and it can be daunting knowing where to start.

That's where we can help! We really enjoy a good garden renovation project. We can do one or more sessions to transform your garden, simply working with the existing planting before adding new plants which we can source for you.

Long border renovation and replanting, Appleton

We were tasked with renovating this neglected south-east facing border. We hired a turf cutter to create a wider border and selected a mix of evergreen shrubs, ornamental grasses, perennials and spring flowering bulbs.
As the soil was heavily compacted we dug this over and added a new border mix of compost and organic matter.

Back garden border renovation, Stockton Heath

This garden border had been neglected over many years and there were far too many trees and shrubs out competing each other for space and light. Ivy was growing through everything.

We pruned back the Lilac tree and Viburnum and hard pruned the Buddleia. We cleared saplings and the ivy from the fence.
The family wanted to keep the Acer as a focal point in the garden. As their young children enjoyed playing here already, we suggested creating a small pathway for them to navigate through the border and added new plants such as ferns and geraniums.
